Anyone hiring?

Hello Brothers,

I have finally graduated and am now looking for full time employment. I have been working at the gun store up in Huntsville for the past couple of months but am looking to move on to greener pastures. If anyone knows of any positions that may be available or know anyone who is looking to hire a recent college graduate I would very much appreciate the help of my brothers and my fellow alumni to help me find a steady job where I can get some entry level experience.

More Post-Oncologist Information

For those of you who don’t know what the thymus is (I didn’t!), it’s where T-cells “go to school” to learn how to fend off diseases in your pre-adolescent years. As you mature and reach puberty, the thymus breaks down and absorbs itself into your body. It disappears. Except in a very small handful of people. Some bodies don’t break down the thymus while others - for reasons not yet known - develop a thymus again! Yours truly is in the “grew one again” category. (“Damn Vulcan physiology!” - Dr. McCoy, “Star Trek”) Interestingly, there are only about 400 known cases of thymoma in the U.S.

Nelson Bruns back from Chapter Eternal

We received some good news last week. Hubert Nelson Bruns - “Nelson”, class of 1964, who was previously listed as a member of “Chapter Eternal” contacted us to announce that he is alive, well and living in Houston! Hopefully Nelson can join us at the reunion and relate a few stories about how he’s been spending the past few years.

Alpha Tau Omega CJ majors demonstrate patriotic feelings

This article by Kolby Flowers originally appeared in The Houstonian, May 3, 2011.

In the aftermath of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden’s death, new debates have emerged.

What happens next for the ‘War on Terror?’”

34 ATOs Shane Rankin & Mike Ritchie”Americans understand the costs of war,” President Barack Obama said in a press conference Sunday night. “Yet, as a country, we will never tolerate our security being threatened, nor stand idly by when our people have been killed.”

On nights like this one, we can say to those families who have lost loved ones to al-Qaida’s terror: Justice has been done.”

However, bin Laden’s death does not mark the end of the U.S. effort.

There’s no doubt that al-Qaida will continue to pursue attacks against us,” Obama said. “We must, and will remain vigilant at home and abroad.”

Fall 2010 Newsletter

This past weekend the Zeta Mu chapter hosted a Garage Sale to help raise money for the chapter. It was held in the lodge parking lot and we were able to raise $309.75, which is very respectable for a few hours worth of work. I would like to thank David “Shane” Rankin for putting this event together and all the work he put into this. Nominations and Elections were held this last meeting for Executive Board positions whom will begin their duties after returning from Winter Break.
