I have finally graduated and am now looking for full time employment. I have been working at the gun store up in Huntsville for the past couple of months but am looking to move on to greener pastures. If anyone knows of any positions that may be available or know anyone who is looking to hire a recent college graduate I would very much appreciate the help of my brothers and my fellow alumni to help me find a steady job where I can get some entry level experience.
At the SHSU Greek Pantheon Awards brother Michael Mann received Most Athletic, WM Jonathon Lee received Most Outstanding Chapter President, and brother Joseph Rieder received Most Outstanding Active Member, while the Zeta Mu ATO chapter won 5 Star Service! What a year for Zeta Mu ATO!
At tonight’s Sam Houston State Univerity Sammy Awards, the Best Social Fraternity Award was won by the Zeta Mu chapter of Alpha Tau Omega! Well done brothers! Ru Rah Rega!
Could you please pass this information on for my family and my Beloved Mother. She will forever be loved and missed.

As I sit in my apartment packing up the last of my stuff, getting ready for the last few days before I ship out to boot camp. I realize how real these past four years with my brothers have been. As though it was only yesterday that I received my bid and did my first Ruh Rah Rega in the Pit all the while wondering was this the right choice for me. I realized a few weeks later that not only was ATO the right place, but that I gained a family. Brothers that in my time of need, have come to help me no matter how far or whatever the case may be.
O.K. Men, here’s the latest.: Robert ‘Spock’ Hurst apparently has licked the rare form of cancer that he battled for so long and he and Betsy are likely to show up for the Piney Woods Shootout …somebody buy him a beer…
“Diamond Jim” Danklefs had surgery on the 12th to have an electrical device implanted in his back to block pain to his legs…The surgery was successful and they stuck the batteries up his butt…He will be looking for volunteers at the reunion to change out the batteries…
On April 19th, 2012 the Zeta Mu chapter of Alpha Tau Omega gathered at the Oakwood cemetery in Huntsville, Texas for the signature event of the semester. The chapter holds a ceremony every year to honor General Sam Houston and replace the tattered flags flying over his grave with new ones. This year our key note speaker was Mayor of Huntsville Mac Woodward. The event was a huge success with various members of the community attending.
My dearest Brothers:
First, I want to thank everyone who was in attendance at the 2012 ATO Zeta Mu Reunion & Hog Hunt at the Trails End Ranch in Medina last weekend. I have received word through several Brothers that the business meeting was temporarily ‘suspended’ for a prayer for me and the current health issues that I am facing. I can’t thank you enough for that and how much it has meant to my family and me over the past few days. Many tears of gratitude have been shed by my family and me. God bless all of you.
Second, I also understand that an auction was held on Saturday night during which a bag of what was reportedly my ‘short hairs’ that have fallen out during my chemo treatments sold for $175.00 and is now in the Zeta Mu chapter’s bank account. Let’s just say that I’m glad I could be of help to the chapter despite my absence at the reunion!
