Ann (Jeff Council’s better-half) info follows for The Brothers:

A few weeks ago, Ann took a test designed to read calcium build-up in the body. The test results were alarmingly high and she was directed to visit her cardiologist. The cardiologist scheduled a heart cath which was performed last week at Oak Bend in Richmond. The cath showed blockages and subsequenly, bypass surgery was performed this past Monday at Methodist Sugar Land. The triple bypass surgery was a success.

Ann was moved out of ICU last night and into room 411. I just talked with Jeff and he reported she’s eating, walking, and is tolerating the pain well. If she continues on this path, she might be released as early as this Saturday.

She has asked for no flowers at the hospital prefering those friends who want to send flowers do so after she has come home (actually, I think she has wisely considered the task for getting them home!). Her sister from Colorado, Lynn, is coming in on the 25th to help with Ann’s at-home care. Several of her friends and church friends have organized to provide dinners for Ann & Jeff once she’s back home.

I try to get up to the hospital daily and obviously, I’m getting reports from Jeff on a regular basis. Let me know if you need more info….

Take care ~ Becky Covell
