Members of the Cancun Rotary Club attended the Rosenberg rotary club meeting Wednesday to thank the local organization for donating 60,000 books to the Mexican club. Altamirano, president of the (Cancun Rotary) club in 2000-2001, was one of three members of the organization addressing members of the Rosenberg Rotary Club Wednesday at the Fort Bend Country Club. They were visiting Texas to thank the Rosenberg club for collecting and arranging for shipment more than 20,000 books in English that will be utilized by residents of an orphanage and others in the Cancun community.
